When Ninjababy started picked flowers, he blew on them thinking he was smelling them.

Priceless expression :).
May i make a suggestion?,i see its : F1.8 and iso 100,if you had pushed the iso a bit more to maybe 400,and dropped the aperture down to F4 ish then you would have Ninjababies eyes and the flower in focus :).

Never hesitate to make suggestions.

I try to keep my ISO as low as it can be because I just don't like when a photo gets grainy due to too high of an ISO. I could have lowered the shutter speed and raised the f-stop, now i'm not sure why I didn't do that.

Okey dokey.

I know that feeling, though the D90 is pretty good as long as you dont go too high(i have one too :)),i have started to push the iso more as i was losing shots by compensating with shutter speed and getting blur, even with VR :(.
Like you,i dislike much post-work(take it right the first time mentality),but noise can be recovered whereas blur is fatal..

That expression is utterly exquisite and his eyes are so big and blue and beautiful! This is a lovely photograph of a stunning little boy.
