This guy scared the hell out of me. He would hover in different areas all around me. He was bigger than a quarter. Not a huge fan of bees....

:bulletpurple: Not all bumblebees are yellow and black. Some are orange or red instead of yellow, and some have completely black bodies.
:bulletpurple: Bumblebees can sting, but unlike regular bees, their stinger doesn't have barbs, so they can sting more than once.
:bulletpurple: The buzzing sound when they fly is the vibrating of their flight muscles, not the beating of their wings.
:bulletpurple: They are concidered to be an Endangered Species.

Awesome picture!! We have honeybees and when I'm by their box they're often flying around like that but...I'm usually getting the heck out of there at that point. It's great you were able to take a picture of one.

I think it could be a Drone-fly rather than a bee,not easy to catch in flight either way :)..
